Charlotte Jackson Is Giving Women Over 50 the Luxury Fashion Seat They Deserve
Business Owner, Charlotte Jackson of The Curve Authority.
Charlotte Jackson isn’t asking for space in the fashion world—she’s making it. The former actress and singer has become one of luxury fashion’s most influential insiders, with a presence that stretches from Paris Fashion Week’s runways to the closed-door strategy meetings of McQueen and Stella McCartney, where decisions shape the industry. And she’s using that influence for one purpose: making sure women over 50 are not just seen, but centered.
As founder of The Curve Authority, Charlotte works with some of fashion’s most storied brands to close the gap between their glossy campaigns and the reality of their buyers. Women over 50, she points out, hold more spending power than any other demographic in entertainment and media—trillions, according to Nielsen and AARP. Yet on the runway and in high-end boutiques, they are still treated as an afterthought. “When you can see yourself in the clothes, you’re more likely to buy them,” she says. “And when brands design with you in mind from the very beginning, you stay loyal.”
Her mission grew from personal experience. As a curvy woman traveling the world for Paris Fashion Week and working in entertainment, she found herself shut out of the most fashion-forward, high-quality designs. Extended sizes were available, but rarely with the craftsmanship or boldness of couture. For Charlotte, that wasn’t good enough. The Curve Authority was born as a direct challenge to that gap—first as a consulting platform for major brands, and soon to expand into its own lifestyle brand with clothing and media at the center.
Representation is especially urgent now. Vogue Business reports that only 0.8% of looks on Spring/Summer 2025 runways were plus-size, marking a regression in inclusivity. The Guardian notes a renewed obsession with ultrathin ideals, leaving plus-size models with fewer opportunities than just a few years ago. Charlotte is determined to push back, not just for curvy women, but for women in their fifties and beyond whose style has been overlooked for far too long.
Her vision is not about chasing youth—it’s about honoring presence, power, and life experience. Whether she’s front row at a show, collaborating with a design team, or at home perfecting a recipe in her kitchen (yes, she’s also an accomplished chef), she embodies what it looks like to live fully in your season.
For women over 50, Charlotte is a reminder that the most stylish years are not behind you—they’re right now. For younger women, she’s proof that style and influence don’t fade; they deepen. And for the fashion industry, she’s a wake-up call: the future of luxury belongs to the women who have already been leading it with their presence, their purchasing power, and their refusal to be invisible.
